Theming and Animatronics Industries has produced and installed all interior and exterior theming as well as animatronics of “Nightmare”, the 2010 attraction at TusenFryd. The project became a success as a result of close cooperation with Alterface and the TusenFryd management, “Nightmare” becoming the first 5D Experience in Europe.
TAA made a standalone ancient castle façade for the indoor attraction to ensure highest quality and long-term impact in order to prevent possible problems with the original building and its wooden structure. The interior walls have the same theming, based on the story line. Ancient props like medieval weapons, wooden furniture and a huge decorative open fire place are the details to provide an authentic experience.
The 5D experience is a whole with the animatronics masterpieces of TAA. One animated zombie, and two scary knights are on the walls that also turn into zombies when hit with the visitors’ laser gun. The theming and animatronics of the target wall is a work of TAA as well. Candle lights go on and a cross spins when hit. A normal mirror suddenly shows a horrified face when hit, a Duke in a painting turns to be ugly, a cupboard suddenly opens and the hand of a zombie comes out to grab after the visitors. Another Zombie shows up behind a knight shield, while the animated bats flying over the heads of the visitors make everyone scream.
