TAA Industries delivered the theme decoration for Legoland new attraction – “Vikings River Splash Ride” built by abc Rides. The centre piece is the “Troll wash”. Here the guests in a Viking armada are taken through stormy waters into a new world. To achieve this effect TAA combined its artistic theming skills with millions of Lego pieces to create the basis for this unique guest’s adventure which follows the Legoland concept.
All TAA decorations were manufactured painstakingly and according to high European quality standards. Traditional manufacturing skills have been employed in order to guarantee authenticity and long durability. Other individual themed scenes:
The Ice Dragon: The guests enter the Viking land via icy waters, where the ice dragon awaits them moving in the icebergs. The scene consists of fibre glass icebergs, cement floors and special effects include dry ice smoke.
The Sea Serpent: The guests stumble over the remains of a grounded Vikings’ ship. A Viking holds himself at the end of a mast, while another in a barrel is crying out for help. All the while the sea serpent towers above them in the background. The scene has been entirely made of cement.
Talking Gods: The guests come across four Vikings gods spitting on them. They are spraying water out of their mouth towards the Vikings on the other side. The scene has been entirely made of cement.
Troll wash: The journey is approaching its end. In the distance four trolls can be seen filling their buckets with water, to transport on the raft. There is nothing left but for the guests to pass through and surly get wet by the ‘friendly’ trolls. Special effects include pneumatic mechanisms for pouring water down on rafts, smoke coming out of two pipes. The theming includes timber works, fibre glass works and cements theming. |
